Accessibility

A clearer, calmer website for more people.

Last reviewed: 30 August 2026

Our commitment

April Maria is committed to making this website and its services accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.

The aim is to provide an inclusive experience for people with different visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, neurological and communication needs.

Accessibility standard

The website is being designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA in mind.

The website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. For that reason, April Maria does not currently claim that every page fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility will continue to be reviewed as the website develops.

Using this website

We aim to make the website:

  • usable with a keyboard;

  • compatible with browser zoom;

  • readable with clear headings and labels;

  • understandable without relying only on colour;

  • accessible through meaningful buttons and links;

  • usable on different screen sizes;

  • supported by alternative text for meaningful images;

  • free from harmful flashing content; and

  • respectful of reduced-motion preferences where animation is used.

Forms

We aim to provide forms with clear labels, instructions and error messages.

If you cannot use a form, tell us what you were trying to do and what alternative would help.

Please do not submit urgent, crisis or highly sensitive information through a general website form.

Alternative formats and reasonable adjustments

If you need information or a service in another accessible format, you can request a reasonable adjustment.

This may include:

  • larger text;

  • plain text;

  • an accessible digital document;

  • captions or a transcript;

  • an audio explanation; or

  • another reasonable communication format.

There is no charge for a reasonable accessibility adjustment.

Third-party content

Some booking, payment, video, social-media or other external services may be supplied by third parties.

We may not control every aspect of those services, but we will try to provide a reasonable alternative if an external feature creates an accessibility barrier.

Reporting a problem

If you experience an accessibility problem, please tell us:

  • which page or feature you were using;

  • what you were trying to do;

  • what went wrong;

  • the device or browser involved; and

  • what adjustment would help.

We will review the issue and explain what can be done or provide a reasonable alternative where possible.
